As Mbappé becomes PSG top scorer in Champions League
Jude Bellingham has become the third teenager to score in four consecutive UEFA Champions League appearances after he scored Borussia Dortmund’s only goal in their 1-1
draw with Seville at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany.
The Englishman drew Dortmund level on 35 minutes after Tanguy Nianzou had given the visitors the lead in the 18th minute.
It was his fourth consecutive Champions League this campaign and sixth in 20 appearances. He has now scored against FC Copenhagen, Manchester City and twice now
against Sevilla.
He has now joined Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé as teenagers who have achieved the goakscoring feat.
Haaland scored in his first five appearances in the competition between September and November 2019.
Mbappe first achieved his feat in AS Monaco’s shirt between March and April 2017, scoring home and away in the last 16 legs against Manchester City and twice against Borussia Dortmund, home and away in the two quarterfinal legs.
Bellingham will now be seeking to score for the fifth straight game when Borussia Dortmund host Manchester City on October 25 and join Haaland as only the second
player to score in five consecutive games in the competition.
Meanwhile, Mbappé has become PSG’s top scorer in the competition after netting his club’s only goal in the 1-1 draw with Portuguese side, Benfica at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The 23 year old has now scored his 31st goal with PSG in the UEFA Champions League, overtaking Edinson Cavani (30) to become PSG’s outright top goalscorer in the competition.
