Big Clubs Monitor Iheanacho After Stunning Bursaspor Form

Kelechi Iheanacho’s impressive start to life at Bursaspor has reportedly attracted the attention of several big clubs following his sensational goalscoring form in the Turkish second tier.

According to Turkish publication Fotomaç, the Nigerian striker has emerged as one of the most closely watched players in the Trendyol 1. Lig after scoring nine goals in his first seven appearances for Bursaspor.

The 29-year-old has also provided two assists, meaning he has contributed directly to 11 goals in seven league games.

Iheanacho scored again in Bursaspor’s 2-2 home draw with Esenler Erokspor on Sunday, taking his league tally to nine goals. He has now scored in each of Bursaspor’s first seven league matches.

His goals have helped Bursaspor move to the top end of the table, with the club sitting on 16 points after seven matches.

Iheanacho is also leading the 1. Lig scoring chart with nine goals, three clear of his nearest challenger, Sivasspor’s Rey Manaj, according to Fotomaç.

The Nigerian joined Bursaspor during the summer after winning the Scottish league title with Celtic and has quickly become the focal point of the club’s push for promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig.
