Brume out of Suzhou Diamond League, Amusan to run from lane 6

African long jump queen and record holder, Ese Brume’s name is completely missing in the start list for Saturday’s Diamond League meeting in Suzhou, China.

The Nigerian had earlier been listed to make her 2024 Diamond League debut in Suzhou but her name was not on the start list released late Friday night.

The 28 year old will now have to wait till July 7 in Paris, France to compete when the women’s long jump returns to the Diamond League circuit.

Meanwhile, Tobi Amusan will run from lane six in the 100m hurdles as the 27 year old is eager to get back to reckoning and prove she is the fastest the event has ever produced.

The reigning Diamond League champion came fifth in the opening leg of the 15 leg athletics’ premier one-day series.
