Durosinmi Delighted After Scoring Fifth League Goal for Genk

Rafiu Durosinmi has expressed his delight after helping Genk secure a point in their 1-1 draw against KAA Gent in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday.

Genk fell behind after just 10 minutes when Momodou Sonko put the visitors ahead, but Durosinmi restored parity two minutes after the restart with his fifth league goal in six appearances this season.

The Nigeria international was subsequently named Man of the Match following another impressive display and said he was pleased with both his individual contribution and the team’s result.

‘I am happy to have been voted Man of the Match again. It also feels good to be the top scorer at the moment,’ Durosinmi said, according to Genk’s official website.

‘In football, anything is possible, but you have to believe in it. My family and my wife are here to cheer me on, and that feels good.

‘It certainly wasn’t an easy match. Considering the fact that they hardly conceded any goals, this is quite a good performance. Now, we mainly need to remember the positive points and take them with us to the next match.’

Durosinmi will now hope to continue his impressive scoring form when Genk travel to face Club Brugge in their next league fixture on Sunday.
