El-Kanemi, Ikorodu City Set for President Federation Cup Final Showdown
Women’s Federation Cup Quarterfinals Kick Off in Benin, Aba, and Anyigba

The men’s President Federation Cup will climax with a thrilling final between three-time champions El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri and surprise package Ikorodu City.
El-Kanemi Warriors, winners in 1991, 1992, and 2024, booked their place in the final with a commanding 3-1 victory over Wikki Tourists in Katsina.
The Maiduguri side will now contest their second consecutive final, aiming to add a fourth title to their storied history.
In Benin City, Ikorodu City continued their giant-killing run by eliminating Nasarawa United.
After a 1-1 draw in regulation time, the Lagos-based side held their nerve to triumph 4-2 on penalties at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
The defeat extended Nasarawa United’s misfortune at the venue, recalling their 2019 final loss to Bayelsa United on penalties.
Meanwhile, the women’s President Federation Cup enters the quarter-final stage on Thursday, with fixtures spread across Benin City, Aba, and Anyigba.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Sunshine Queens of Akure face Confluence Queens of Lokoja in the early kickoff, before perennial champions Rivers Angels take on FC Robo Queens later in the day.
In Aba, Heartland Queens of Owerri meet Ibom Angels of Uyo, while Nasarawa Amazons battle the resurgent Edo Queens in Anyigba.
