Everton table offer for two-time Premier League best tackler, Ndidi

Journalist Tavolieri has revealed that Wilfred Ndidi has received an offer from Everton as the Toffees look to beat other teams to the Nigerian’s signature.

The Toffees secured Premier League safety at the weekend when they defeated Brentford 1-0 at Goodison Park to move to 36 points from 35 matches, one point better than 18th placed Luton can ever hope to finish if they win their remaining three games.

Ndidi has been a key part of Enzo Maresca’s plans this season with the Nigerian scoring four goals. He also provided five assists – and his contributions have helped the Foxes to secure a Premier League return at the first time of asking.

The Foxes’ instant return to the Premier League may boost their chances of retaining Ndidi, but the KingPower stadium outfit aren’t in the best financial situation at this stage and may still need to raise funds before the end of June to avoid further financial breaches.

Ndidi moved to Leicester City in January 2017 and became an instant success in the Premier League, emerging the best tackler for two straight seasons viz 2017/18 with 138 tackles and 2018/19 season with 143 tackles.

He was runner-up in 2019/20 season with 128 tackles, one behind Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
