Everton, Turkish, German and Italian clubs join Aston Villa in chase for Iheanacho

Aston Villa could face competition from fellow Premier League club, Everton and at least three Turkish Super Lig sides in the race to land free agent, Kelechi Iheanacho.

Football Insider reported last week that Aston Villa had a discussion with the player’s agent but according to former Everton chief, Keith Wyness, the Toffees are interested in the striker too.

The two Premier League sides could face competition as reported by Turkish outlet Takvim who claim the 27-year-old is attracting interest from around Europe.

Three Turkish clubs, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, and Besiktas, as well as clubs in Germany and Italy, are all showing an interest in signing the Leicester forward.

The report also claim Iheanacho will decide on his future by the end of the month.

The Nigerian started just 10 of the 23 Championship games he featured in for the Foxes this season and scored six times.

Overall, he has featured 232 times for Leicester City since he joined from Manchester City in August 2017 and scored 61 goals.
