AC Milan has announced the appointment of Rúben Amorim as Head Coach of the men’s First Team.

Amorim began his coaching career in 2018, following a distinguished playing career with Belenenses, Benfica, and the Portugal national team. His early managerial experiences at Casa Pia and Braga paved the way for his appointment as Head Coach of Sporting Clube de Portugal in March 2020.

That tenure marked the beginning of a cycle defined by a strong playing identity, tactical innovation, and a commitment to player development. His leadership translated into tangible success, including two Portuguese league titles, two League Cups, and one Super Cup.

Amorim most recently served as Head Coach of Manchester United before joining AC Milan.

Throughout his career, Amorim has cultivated a modern, dominant tactical approach characterized by clear player profiles, organizational discipline, and a focus on developing young talent to maximize their potential.
