Iheanacho seeking to make the difference again as Nigeria face Mali for the 12th time

Kelechi Iheanacho scored the only goal the last time Nigeria faced Mali in a friendly fixture in May 2016 and the Leicester City forward will be looking to make the
difference again Tuesday night in Marakech, Morocco in yet another international friendly.

That was the 11th meeting between the two countries with the Super Eagles of Nigeria edging the Malian Eagles 6-2 in head to head confrontations.

In fact, the Super Eagles are unbeaten in eight games in the fixture since 1978.

The Eagles have managed just one clean sheet in five games in the fixture.

This will be Nigeria’s second game since they lost th final of the Africa Cup of Nations to host country, Cote d’Ivoire last month and the team, under a caretaker manager, Finidi George defeated bitter West African rival, Ghana 2-1, their first win in 18 years over the Black Stars.

George will be seeking to continue his 100% record in charge of the team and will be confident his side can beat Mali.
