Kane Closes In On Ronaldo’s UCL Record After Scoring In 10 Straight Games

Harry Kane is on the brink of equalling one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s remarkable UEFA Champions League records after extending his scoring streak in the competition to 10 consecutive matches.
The Bayern Munich striker found the net against Arsenal on Wednesday night to become only the second player in Champions League history to score in 10 successive appearances, joining Ronaldo in an exclusive club.
Ronaldo established the record of 11 consecutive scoring appearances during his time at Real Madrid, with his remarkable run culminating in the 2017/18 campaign.
Kane now stands just one match away from matching the Portuguese superstar’s achievement and could do so in Madrid when Bayern face Atletico Madrid in their next Champions League fixture on November 3.
The England captain’s extraordinary scoring sequence has seen him find the net against 10 opponents across his last 10 Champions League appearances.
His run includes braces against Union Saint-Gilloise, Atalanta and Viking, alongside goals against PSV Eindhoven, Real Madrid twice, Paris Saint-Germain twice, Bodø/Glimt and Arsenal.
In total, Kane has scored 13 goals during the 10-match sequence, demonstrating the consistency that has made him one of Europe’s most feared strikers.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward has maintained his impressive scoring form against some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Real Madrid, PSG and Arsenal.
His latest goal against the Gunners has now set up a potentially historic night in the Spanish capital, where he will attempt to equal a record that has stood for more than eight years.
Should Kane score against Atletico Madrid, he will draw level with Ronaldo on 11 consecutive Champions League scoring appearances. Another goal in his following appearance would see him establish a new record.
For now, the Bayern striker remains one step away from matching one of the competition’s most extraordinary individual achievements.
