LaLiga side, Sevilla join race for free agent Ndidi

LaLiga side, Sevilla have joined the race to sign free agent, Wilfred Ndidi this summer, according to Spanish outlet Vamos mi Sevilla.

Ndidi’s contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, leading to speculation over his future at the King Power Stadium.

The Nigerian had been linked with a move to Barcelona and later Newcastle last summer but Leicester City decided to keep the star whose performance this season is partly responsible for the club’s impressive, table-topping run so far this season.

The 27 year old recently returned to action after over two months out of action due to injury and, since his return, has helped the Foxes to an away win at Sunderland and a point at Hull City.

He has scored four goals and provided six assists in 26 games across all competitions so far this term with two of the goals and five of the assists coming in 23 Championship games.

Ndidi has been an important part of Enzo Maresca’s side this campaign and has been a key figure for the club since his arrival from Genk in 2017,winning the Premier League best tackler award twice.
