Lookman Backed to Shine Against Arsenal

Ademola Lookman is set to return to his home city with Atletico Madrid as they face Arsenal in Tuesday night’s Champions League semi-final second leg at the Emirates.
The Nigerian forward only joined Atleti in the winter transfer window but has already made a huge impact, hitting seven goals and four assists in 19 games across all competitions, including two goals and two assists in seven Champions League outings.
Former Atalanta ace Nadir Zortea has hailed Lookman as ‘one of the best team-mates I have ever had’ and believes his dazzling first touch should be taught to youngsters everywhere.
Zortea, now at Bologna, added: ‘He is very fast and can score in many ways. I am sure he will be motivated to show he could play at any of the Premier League’s top clubs.’
Meanwhile, Cagliari midfielder Michel Adopo, who witnessed Lookman’s hat-trick heroics in the 2024 Europa League final, says the Nigerian star is finally at the level he deserves.
‘Atletico is an amazing opportunity for Ademola. Finally, he is at a giant club. I actually believe he will score against Arsenal in Madrid,’ he said.
