Onuachu Makes History as Trabzonspor’s Sixth Super Lig Top Scorer

Paul Onuachu has etched his name into Trabzonspor’s history books after finishing the 2025/26 Trendyol Süper Lig season as joint top scorer with 22 goals, alongside RAMS Başakşehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.
The Nigerian forward becomes only the sixth player in the club’s history to claim the league’s Golden Boot, joining the ranks of Necmi Perekli, Fatih Tekke, Shota Arveladze, Burak Yılmaz and Alexander Sörloth.
Onuachu’s achievement is particularly significant as he is just the third foreign player to win the accolade for Trabzonspor, following in the footsteps of Arveladze and Sörloth.
His prolific form accounted for 36 percent of the team’s total goals this season, with Trabzonspor netting 61 times in 34 matches.
Despite failing to score in the final six games, Onuachu’s decisive contributions earlier in the campaign proved vital.
The striker scored in 18 matches, helping Trabzonspor secure 43 points from those fixtures, meaning the club earned 66 percent of their points in games where he found the net.
Onuachu’s journey with Trabzonspor began during his loan spell in 2023/24, where he impressed with 15 goals in 21 league appearances.
