Osimhen resumes hunt for four possible Serie A records this season
Tragets third goal in four games and 100% winning stat against Torino

Victor Osimhen will be seeking to start another goalscoring streak in the Serie A when he visits the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in Turin with his club, Napoli in their matchweek 27 fixture against their host, Ola Aina’s Torino.
The Nigerian scored twice last mid-week to help Napoli to their first ever quarterfinal qualification in the UEFA Champions League following Napoli’s 5-0 aggregate defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt of Germany in the round of 16 of the competition.
The 24 year old has not scored in the last two games in the competition after scoring in the previous eight.
If he manages to score on Sunday, the former Lille of France player will extend his stay at the top of the top scorer’s chart in the league from 19 to 20 in 23 games in the competition.
The goal will also tie him with Simy Nwankwo as the top scoring African in a single Serie A season.
Osimhen is also in line to match or equal the single season goal record of 36 held by Ciro Immobile and former Napoli foward, Gonzalo Higuain.
If Napoli wins the Scudetto and Osimhen ends as the top scorer, he will become the seventh player after Michel Platini, Macko Van Basten, Gianlucca Vialli, Andriy Shevchenko, David Trezequet and Aldo Serena to achieve the unique combination.
Osimhen is just three goals away from becoming the joint top-scoring African in Serie A history with Liberia’s George Weah. The Super Eagle has scored 43 goals in 72 Serie A games for Napoli so far since he joined from Ligue1 side, Lille in September 2020.
The former Lille of France forward will also be seeking to score his third goal in four games against Torino as well as extend his 100% winning record against the club.
