President Federation Cup: National Draw Ceremony Holds Friday in Abuja

The draw ceremony for the national competition of this year’s President Federation Cup (men and women) will take place at the NFF Secretariat, Abuja on Friday.

This follows the conclusion of the national playoff games, which saw four teams eliminated from the women’s competition and six teams from the men’s competition.

A total of 32 teams will be drawn in the women’s category, while 64 teams will contest in the men’s competition.

Cup holders Kwara United, Shooting Stars, Enugu Rangers, Bendel Insurance, Nasarawa United, Ikorodu City, Rivers United, and Barau FC are among the contenders in the men’s draw.

In the women’s competition, last year’s winners Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons, FC Robo Queens, Ibom Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and Naija Ratels will be aiming for glory.

The women’s competition features teams from across the country including Ahudiyannem Queens and Abia Angels (Abia), Ibom Angels and Solo Wonders (Akwa Ibom), Bayelsa Queens (Bayelsa), Delta Queens and Royal Queens (Delta), Esthinghton FC (Ebonyi), Edo Queens and Fortress Ladies (Edo), Ekiti Queens (Ekiti), Rangers Women (Enugu), Naija Ratels and NAF FC (FCT), Heartland Queens and Ikukuoma Queens (Imo)

Others are Gallant Queens (Kaduna), Confluence Queens (Kogi), Moje Queens (Kwara), FC Robo Queens and Ghetto Tiger Ladies (Lagos), Nasarawa Amazons (Nasarawa), Remo Stars Ladies (Ogun), Sunshine Queens and Onimarg FC (Ondo), Osun Babes (Osun), Pacesetter Queens and Dragon Fury Ladies (Oyo), Mighty Jets Mata and Plateau United Queens (Plateau), Rivers Angels and Osklean FC (Rivers).

The men’s competition will see participation from Enyimba FC and Ahudiyannem FC (Abia), Adamawa United and Adamawa United Academy (Adamawa), Akwa United and Godswill Akpabio FC (Akwa Ibom), Edel FC (Anambra), Wikki Tourists and Warinje FC (Bauchi), Bayelsa United and Krosaders Football Academy (Bayelsa), Flight FC and Lobi Stars (Benue), El-Kanemi Warriors (Borno), E-World FC and Mojoda FC (Cross River), Sapele Lions and Warri Wolves (Delta), Rice FC and Cynosure FC (Ebonyi), Bendel Insurance and Westgate FC (Edo), Agbana Wonderful FA (Ekiti), Rangers Int’l and Ingas FC (Enugu).
