Ramot Jimoh breaks Nigerian Mile record again!
Ramot Abike Jimoh ran an impressive 4:46.40 in the Mile to set a new Nigeria record.
The Mississippi State University student-athlete ran almost three seconds faster than the 4:49.49 she ran last month at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex in Clemson, South Carolina.
The 21-year-old has now set three lifetime best indoors this season.
She started with the 1000m record on January 17 when she ran 2:49.22 at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility in Nashville, Tennessee. She thus joined Regina George as one of very few Nigerians to break 2:50 in the event.
George holds the Nigerian record at 2:46.34 which she in Bloomington in December 2015.
Seven days later, Jimoh set her second life time best, this time in the Miles, the record she broke again on Friday at the Music City Challenge held at the Vanderbilt Multipurpose Facility in Nashville, Tennesse.
The next day, the Nigerian 3000m Steeplechase U20 record holder (12:01.11) set a new lifetime best in the 800m indoors. She ran 2:04.97 which catapulted her to second in the Nigerian all-time list behind Abike Egbeniyi (2:03.65).
