Sporting Lagos Crowned NNL Super Four Champions

Sporting Lagos have been crowned champions of the 2026 NNL Super Four despite suffering defeat to city rivals Inter Lagos on the final day at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo.
The ‘Noisy Lagosians’ went into Matchday 3 needing only a point to secure the title, but a 1-0 loss in the Lagos derby left their fate hanging on goal difference.
Earlier victories proved decisive. Sporting Lagos had opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over Ranchers Bees before dismantling Doma United 4-0, giving them six points and a superior goal tally that ultimately secured the crown.
Inter Lagos also finished with six points after beating Ranchers Bees and Sporting Lagos, but their earlier defeat to Doma United left them short in the final reckoning.
The triumph earns Sporting Lagos the ₦10,000,000 prize money and caps a remarkable rise for the club, which has quickly established itself as one of Nigeria’s most ambitious sides.
Ranchers Bees and Doma United finished third and fourth respectively, but all four teams will now step up to the Nigeria Premier Football League for the 2026/27 season.
