Nigeria forward Umar Sadiq has been voted LaLiga SmartBank (LaLiga 2) player of the month for February.

He followed it up eight days later with the only goal of the game when Almeria visited the La Rosaleda where they pipped their host , Málaga CF 1-0.
The 25 year old netted a brace in the 2-1 victory over CD Mirandés before ending the month the way he started, a goal and assist, this time against CF Fuenlabrada in a 3-1 win.
Overall Sadiq has scored 13 times in 25 appearances in LaLiga SmartBank so far this term and has also bagged nine assists.
The Nigerian will be hoping to start another goal rush on Saturday when Almeria host Lugo in a matchweek 31 fixture.
Sadiq has scored once and bagged an assist in the only game he has played against the visitors to the Estadio Mediterraneo.
If he scores, it will be his 34th in 64 LaLiga SmartBank games since he joined the club in October 2020.
