UEFA Bans Chibuike Nwaiwu for Two Matches

Nigeria defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has been handed a two-match suspension by UEFA following his red card in Trabzonspor’s Europa League play-off clash against Ferencvaros.

The 23-year-old centre-back was sent off during the first leg against the Hungarian side, prompting UEFA’s Disciplinary Committee to impose the two-game ban.

Nwaiwu will therefore miss Trabzonspor’s next two UEFA Europa League matches as a result of the suspension.

The ban is a setback for the Nigerian defender as Trabzonspor continue their push for a place in the Europa League group phase.
