Friday Etim Named 3F Superliga Player Of The Month

Nigerian striker Friday Etim has been named the 3F Superliga Player of the Month for September after an outstanding run of form for FC Midtjylland.
Etim scored three goals and provided one assist in the Danish top flight during the month, while also finding the net once in the Betano Cup.
The award marks the Nigerian forward’s first individual honour since arriving in Denmark’s top division. He saw off competition from FC Copenhagen duo Diant Ramaj and Asger Sørensen to claim the prize.
Etim was particularly impressive across several statistical categories in September, playing 334 minutes and contributing a goal or assist every 83 minutes.
He also recorded the most shots on target in the league with nine, won the most ground duels with 25 and registered the highest number of sprints with 96.
Reflecting on the award, Etim said he was pleased with his September form but stressed that he wants to maintain his momentum.
‘I’m happy about the award. It has been a good month of September for me. Of course, you’re happy to score three goals as a striker, because that’s the way I can help the team, among other things.
‘Now it’s about continuing, because there is still a lot of work to be done for us. I hope and believe that this is just the beginning.’
Etim’s impressive form has further underlined his growing importance to Midtjylland as he continues to establish himself in the 3F Superliga.
