Hasan Şaş: ‘I Don’t Think Osimhen Will Stay at Galatasaray’

Ex-Galatasaray Coach Tips Juventus to Sign Super Eagles Star

Former Galatasaray assistant coach Hasan Şaş has cast doubt on Victor Osimhen’s long-term future at the Turkish champions, tipping Juventus to swoop for the Super Eagles striker.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray permanently last summer after a successful loan spell from Napoli, has been in sensational form at RAMS Park, scoring 52 goals and providing 11 assists in 63 appearances across all competitions.

Despite his impact, rumours persist about a possible move back to Italy, with Juventus strongly linked.

Speaking on the sporON YouTube channel, Şaş said: ‘I don’t think Osimhen will stay at Galatasaray. Even if he performs well in the Juventus match and helps Galatasaray advance to the next round. They’ll take him from there.’

Galatasaray face Juventus in the Champions League Playoff on Tuesday, with the first leg taking place in Turkey. Şaş suggested that Europe’s elite clubs would not hesitate to meet financial demands if they decide to move for the Nigerian international.

He added: ‘The moment Osimhen reaches a point where he could leave Galatasaray, Icardi’s contract will be extended immediately.’

Şaş compared Osimhen’s situation to Ademola Lookman’s recent transfer from Atalanta to Atlético Madrid, noting how quickly the Spanish club acted to secure the Nigerian forward despite interest from Fenerbahçe.

‘I’ve been saying Lookman here since September, then Fenerbahçe came out and said ‘We’ll get him’. Then Atletico Madrid, a team that wasn’t even on the market, paid the money and took him. They’ll do the same with Osimhen. They’ll take him and leave. As long as a European team needs something, they won’t look at the price.’

He concluded: ‘If Osimhen gets past the Juventus match, they’ll come alone, take him and leave.’
