Osimhen Sparks Galatasaray Ahead of Beşiktaş Clash

Galatasaray is preparing for one of the season’s most decisive moments as they face Beşiktaş in a derby that could shape the championship race.

With a four-point lead over Fenerbahçe, the Yellow and Reds are determined to protect their advantage and strengthen their grip on the Super Lig title.

Reporter Kaya Temel revealed on the 90+ Digital YouTube channel that Victor Osimhen has been a driving force in training sessions.

‘Osimhen was very motivated. He lifted the team up and continues to do so. He motivated his teammates very well in training,’ Temel said, adding that detailed plans are being made to secure three points from the derby.

Osimhen is set to make his 67th appearance for Galatasaray, having already scored 54 goals since joining on loan in the 2024/25 season.

Thirty-six of those came in the Süper Lig, underlining his importance to the squad. The Nigerian striker is also aiming to score his second goal against Beşiktaş, captained by his compatriot Wilfred Ndidi, and secure his second win in four derby encounters.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has promised a significant reward should the team triumph, a gesture meant to consolidate their leadership and inspire the squad further in their pursuit of the championship.
