Salah Nears Trabzonspor Move, Onuachu Awaits New Strike Partner

Trabzonspor are on the verge of completing one of the biggest transfers in the club’s history, with reports in Turkey indicating that negotiations with Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah have reached the final stages.

According to Turkish outlet Sabah, the Black Sea club has agreed a deal worth €17 million plus performance-related bonuses, while discussions are continuing over the length of Salah’s contract, the payment structure and other contractual details.

The 34-year-old is currently on holiday in Greece and, if the remaining issues are resolved, is expected to fly to Istanbul aboard a private jet on Wednesday to complete the formalities.

Trabzonspor supporters are already preparing a massive reception at the airport to welcome the Egyptian icon, with club officials expecting thousands of fans to turn out should the transfer be finalised.

The anticipated arrival is being described as one of the most significant moments in the club’s recent history.

If the move goes through, Salah is expected to form a formidable attacking partnership with Nigerian international Paul Onuachu, who has already established himself as a key figure for Trabzonspor.

The prospect of the Super Eagles striker linking up with one of Africa’s greatest-ever footballers has generated enormous excitement among the club’s supporters as Trabzonspor aim to strengthen their bid for domestic and European success.
