Galatasaray Warned Over Osimhen as Barcelona Return Targeted

Galatasaray have been warned not to take the fitness of Victor Osimhen lightly after the Nigerian striker failed to resume training during the international break.
Osimhen is reportedly yet to begin training as he continues his recovery from a muscle injury, with Galatasaray targeting his return for the Champions League clash against Barcelona.
However, Turkish football commentator Berk Göl has warned that waiting for the Barcelona game could create problems for Galatasaray, who must first face Kasımpaşa at Rams Park on Friday, October 9.
‘The Barcelona match is targeted, it is very understandable, but the Kasımpaşa match is a difficult match,’ Göl said.
‘Galatasaray will have a very tired and missing player. The team has already lost its rhythm; it hasn’t played a match for almost a month. The Kasımpaşa match should be taken seriously.’
Osimhen’s absence has become a growing concern for Galatasaray as the club prepares for an important run of fixtures after the international break.
The Nigeria international has been sidelined since suffering the injury and was also unavailable for Nigeria’s recent international engagements.
With Galatasaray set to host Kasımpaşa before facing Barcelona, the club will be hoping Osimhen can make sufficient progress to return without risking a setback.
