Michael Olise Crowned Bundesliga Player of the Season 2025/26
FC Bayern München winger Michael Olise has been named the Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2025/26.
The award was presented by DFL CEOs Marc Lenz and Steffen Merkel at the Allianz Arena on Saturday afternoon, moments before Bayern lifted the championship trophy.
‘Michael Olise is a spectacular game‑changer who shaped the 2025/26 Bundesliga season with his dynamism, finesse, consistency, and goal threat.
‘Over the past two years, he has matured into a sporting figurehead for the league, both nationally and internationally, and stands for footballing as well as athletic excellence.
‘We congratulate Michael Olise on his selection and an outstanding season in the FC Bayern München shirt,’ said Lenz and Merkel.
Olise’s statistics underline his impact: 15 goals and 19 assists, making him the first Bundesliga player since 2019‑20 to record at least 15 goals and 15 assists in a single campaign. His recognition builds on his debut season in 2024/25, when he was honored as Rookie of the Season.
The Player of the Season award, organized in partnership with EA SPORTS, has been a fixture of the Bundesliga calendar since 2019/20. Previous winners include Harry Kane (2025, FC Bayern München), Florian Wirtz (2024, Bayer 04 Leverkusen), and Jude Bellingham (2023, Borussia Dortmund).
