WAFU-B U17: Eboboritse Names 25 Golden Eaglets For Ouagadougou

Head coach Eboboritse Uwejamomere has named a 25-man Golden Eaglets squad for the WAFU-B U17 Championship, which kicks off in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, on Saturday.
Five-time world champions Nigeria have been drawn in Group B alongside Niger Republic and hosts Burkina Faso, with the tournament serving as a qualifier for next year’s U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo and Benin Republic make up Group A.
Uwejamomere selected three goalkeepers, seven defenders, eight midfielders and seven forwards for the championship.
The Eaglets will depart Nigeria on Tuesday morning and will have eight days to continue their tactical and technical preparations before opening their campaign against Niger Republic on October 14.
Nigeria will be hoping to secure one of the qualification places for next year’s U17 AFCON and maintain their record as one of the continent’s most successful youth football nations.
